reconsidering wealth…

a basket of freshly washed
strawberries and cherries

 more clothing
than we care to put away

 books that flow
and overflow

indoor facilities,
through which fresh water
flows and flushes

After sorting through medical bills yet unpaid from Eric’s elbow mishap and a few other minor inconveniences, I felt dejected.   Praying, I wondered how and when these bills would get paid.  Long after the elbow has healed, the bills remain.

He  took me and a phone camera on a field trip…

Even in the midst of bills that seem to loom large, I am blessed.  I am wealthy.  I have what others can only dream about.

and, when I reconsider my definition of wealth,
it is enough!
