sharing Kari’s art on the book tour…

She creates art.  She thinks deep.  She loves Jesus recklessly.  She is my incredibly talented in-real-life friend, confident, and prayer partner, Kari.  And… this is one of my all-time favorite photographs of my beautiful friend… I think it’s because this is how I met her.  I found her blog before I met her face to face.  Who knew that at that time she lived less than a mile from me?  Not only is Kari gorgeous, she has one of the most beautiful souls I have ever met.

Kari is an artist.  She sees life through her lens and captures time frame by frame.  Her photography takes my breath away.  Even greater, to me, than Kari’s art is watching her work.  She’s amazing!  Naturally, it was to Kari that I turned when I needed a book cover….

Today’s stop on the virtual book tour is over at Kari’s place.  Join me as I tell the story of the book and it’s cover and Kari’s art…

Looking back, I had no idea what I had asked for when I called and said, “Kari, I need a book cover.” I simply asked. She knew… and she came through.

We stood and watched her work. She moved slowly around the rooms… looking for something… seeing everything. What seemed random to us fit her plan perfectly.

“What’s she looking for?” I asked quietly.

“I don’t know. I’m just enjoying watching her work and I’m staying out of her way,” came the whispered reply.

In the end, she took my pathetic description and created a thing of beauty…

Click on over and join Kari and I for the rest of the story.  We’d love to have you! … oh, and if you haven’t entered yet, check out the book giveaway.

I'd love to know what you think...
