the race is on…join in!

I laughed… this is real-life facebook thread between my sister, her best friend, and I over the miles last night… and, I’m still smiling.

Sometimes I just have to laugh at the craziness that is my life. And, just when I think it can’t possibly be any crazier, someone comes along whose day… week… year… life is crazier than mine and all I can do is laugh… and say, “thank You, Lord, that my life isn’t THAT crazy!”  Seriously, friends, she wins every time!  I can’t compete when she has 40% more children than I do. : )

As women, sometimes we just need to tell our story… to say it out-loud. We need to tell of our crazy life… all the gory details because we need to know that what we do day in and day out matters. It matters!

So.. on this Friday, the race is on. Tell me your story. If I were a competent blogger, I would have a linky party for your to link your blog post up and we could all go click on it and read. However, I have neither the time nor the desire to figure out how to do that this morning. So… let’s talk via comments, shall we?

Here’s the question…. what was your craziest day this month?

I want to know all the details and I promise I won’t take a screen shot of it and post it on facebook for the world to see. It’ll just stay here, in this mostly quiet corner of the blogosphere.  We may laugh together but I promise I’m not laughing at you. And, if you see someone you could encourage today, please do… we all need as much encouragement as we can get!

ready…. set…. go!

  1. My craziest day? It started on September 9th and it hasn’t ended yet. The only food in our fridge is bottled water, a box of BumbleBee Chicken Salad, 2 jars of pickles, and Smart Butter. It’s a good thing we don’t have children–child protection would be knocking on our door. The craziness is influenced by My Mom’s health issues – never knowing when/how long I’ll stay with her. My husband is a patient man. I am grateful. Thanks for your post, Heidi.

  3. I often wonder just how many hats I can possibly wear. A day last week went something like this: cook hat, mom hat, wife hat, Kids Market hat, preschool work at church hat, Kids Market hat, mom hat, grandma hat, cook hat, wife hat, mom hat, clean up hat, gardener hat, homework warden hat, bedtime warden hat, church work hat, Kids Market work hat, grandma hat, etc, etc. 😉

I'd love to know what you think...
