Candy Cane sugar scrub recipe… easy DIY

I’m always on the prowl for ways to make things at home rather than drive somewhere to buy them. A few years ago, I made my own exfoliating sugar scrub. It worked well, and I stopped buying it at the store.

This week, I came up with a new recipe that I LOVE!  And, it’s so easy.

Warm 1/2 c. coconut oil over low heat until all melted.

Stir in 1/2 c. of another oil. I used canola because it was what I had on hand. You could use olive, safflower, canola, vegetable, etc.

Add in 1/2 to 1 t. peppermint essential oil (or any other scent… and more or less depending on your preference)

Pour over 2 c. white sugar. And mix well (I forgot to take a pic of this stage….)

Gently pour into jars or containers of your choice.

Stir well before each use.  Use in the shower yourself or give as a gift!
