thoughts on friendships…

In one of the darkest times of my life,
my wise sister said,
“you need friends!”

I wanted to prove her wrong.
I wanted to be independently strong
and self-sufficient.

She was right and
I was wrong.

I think we all need friends.

We need people to pull us up when we are down,
turn us around when we are going the wrong way,
and encourage us in the day to day.

I’ve been struck, this week,
with the depth and richness
of the friendships
that God has brought my way
over the past decade.

Ten years ago,
my sister was right.

I needed friends.

I am blessed!

  1. I’m not sure how wise I was…or am…I’m amazed at the friendships you’ve developed!

I'd love to know what you think...
