April was hard. Heart-wrenching and beautiful all wound together, tight.
I sat in more hospital chairs, nursing home chairs, and funeral home chairs than I care to count. I held the hand of one leaving this life, wrapped my heart around one just arriving into this world, and put my arms around my longest time friend as she grieves the loss of her new love.
Life is hard. Painfully so.
I also met a whole new clan filled with the most beautiful hearts I have ever met. I laughed and reminisced over pizza late into the evening, ran away and sat by my favorite lake, and snuggled the most beautiful person I have ever had the privilege of meeting.
Life is also beautiful. Equally painfully so.
